Kids Art Club P3-P7

MONDAYS 3:15-4:15PM (during term-time)

After school art club for children in P3-P7. Range of art activities to suit different abilities, but always lots of encouragement, all with our very experienced artist in residence, Adela Quinn.

The aim of the class is to provide children with the opportunity to be creative in exploring different art materials, techniques, and styles in order that they grow in confidence and develop their own ideas through drawing, clay sculpting, painting, collage, crafting and printmaking. As well as making artwork, the art club enables the children to socialise as part of the group, make friends and develop together. The children create work during the year for their annual art exhibition. The pupils also get a chance to enter children's art competitions, work with artists from Glasgow School of Art and get invited to different art events.

Adela has been an art teacher for many years and has worked with us and with many other local community organisations, including working with asylum seekers, women’s groups, teenagers, environmental\eco groups as well as running our children’s art classes for over 15 years. We thank Garnethill Parents Association for their support over many years of working in partnership to provide children’s activities.

We can provide additional supervised art & craft activities within the centre for any organisation on request, please get in touch.

Monday Art Class - Paid for per term (£3.50 per class). Free spaces for Asylum Seekers or for any family facing financial hardship (please just ask). Please note, places must be booked in advance. Please register with staff before attending.
