Welcome

We keep people at the heart of everything we do. Our mission is to serve inclusively the social, educational and welfare needs of Garnethill & Glasgow city centre’s multiple cultures.

We bring people together to help create stronger, better connected communities through support and education; helping people to build lives that have meaning and value for themselves and their families.

About Us

We are a community-owned and run community space at the heart of a diverse central Glasgow neighbourhood. For over 30 years we have been the focal point for community activity for the people of Garnethill and beyond.

What’s On

We host a variety of events from martial arts, English classes, arts workshops to advice surgeries and addiction support groups. 1000 people (per week) come through our doors to take part in an activity or to seek support. Find out if Garnethill Multicultural Centre has an activity that you are interested in.

Hire a Space

As well as service and activity provision we have a number of rooms in the centre available for hire to local groups, charities, businesses and other agencies. For more information or to email us about a booking, click below.

Would you like to join our team of volunteers? Opportunities include helping in our community kitchen, ESOL support, community clean-ups, supporting our junior art classes, or even become a ‘health-walk-leader’.

Refurbishment

Architects Dress for the Weather and Fiona Sinclair were appointed in 2021 to prepare a feasibility study and concept to refurbish our building.
The principal aims were to create more efficient, fully accessible, and functional spaces that would allow the centre to be self-sufficient and continue community activity and outreach.
